THE PATH
Christel was born and raised on a farm in a small town in Switzerland. After graduating from hotel school, she made a life changing decision to move to New York City and pursue a career in Hotel Management. Within the craze of the big apple, she quickly found herself drawn to yoga, a practice that provided a sense of balance and a safe space to explore and give a chance to something she didn't think she would be good at. She observed herself continually coming back to the mat and fell in love with the practice, that has had a significant impact in her life on and off the mat.
After a few years of frequent classes, Christel developed a true passion for yoga and spirituality; creating a healthy relationship with the body, exploring movement and building strength physically and emotionally.
She completed her first Vinyasa teacher training at Three Sisters Yoga in NYC. A year later, she and her husband let go of all their belongings and left NYC to travel the world. Two months spent in India with a second training in Yoga and Yoga Therapy in Rishikesh where she deepened her practice with unbelievable teachers in Ashtanga, Hatha and Iyengar.
Christel feels lucky to be able to share the practice that she loves with others and aims to create a safe space for her students to explore both physically and mentally. She wishes to offer an empowering class through intention, pranayama, asana and meditation. Passionate about the healing nature of the practice, she believes yoga is for every-body!
While pregnant, she trained in prenatal yoga therapy with Alia Om in Paris. She gave birth to her son Jaxon in 2019 and has been passionate about supporting mamas and mamas-to-be!

J’étais venue pour essayer… et je ne peux plus m’en passer ! Christel apporte un soin particulier à l’ambiance qui règne dans ses cours : agréable, chaleureuse et toujours bienveillante. Les exercices qu’elle propose sont soigneusement choisis, parfois en fonction du temps, de l’humeur ou simplement de l’énergie ressentie. Chacun avance à son rythme et se remplit d’ondes positives : on en ressort avec la sensation de s’être fait du bien au corps et à l’esprit. Je ne peux que recommander les cours de Christel-à-la-voix-douce qui sait mettre à l’aise et partager sa passion avec bonheur!
